After this prologue fantasy, the film fast forward to today, where we learn of several developments in the life of Sam Witnicky (Shia LaBeouf), the unsung heroes of the trilogy before two installments. He recently graduated from college and moved to Washington, DC, where he lives with his beautiful new girlfriend, Carly Spencer (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley).
With the help of billionaire boss, Dylan Gould (Patrick Dempsey), Sam soon took an entry level position in a division of the conglomerate. What he does not know is that the smooth Dylan is secretly in league with the Decepticons who are hatching a plan to colonize Earth and transform most of humanity their slaves.
Of course, when Sam does not get wind of the plan frightening is still in him the courage to save the day with the help of a motley crew of Autobots and composed of patriots.The only obvious defect of this bombastic Michael Bay is spectacular special effects that led confrontation between the forces of good and evil behind for about an hour longer than necessary. Therefore, the end is less a dramatic conclusion to a welcome relief from constant overstimulation.
Despite the disintegration of the image in an indiscriminate concatenation of pyrotechnics and loud bangs, there are still a number of commendable performances to enjoy along the way, in particular, Shia LaBeouf as a bold actor, Patrick Dempsey as the wicked vile, Dr.Ken Jeong as a paranoid conspiracy theorist, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (replacing Megan Fox) that the vulnerable damsel in distress, Malkovich, John as a sadistic henchman and Tyrese as a trash-talking, Gung Ho mercenary.
